A DIALOG SESSION WITH MQA AND MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION


Last Wednesday on 23rd December 2010...
Andi Rosnita, Aidil Ibrahim and Ferman Hidayat were attend a Dialog Session organized by MQA at Menara PKNS, Petaling Jaya...
This program were involving all Student Representative from other Private College around Klang Valley...
The dialog was chaired by YAB Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah and the moderator was CEO of MQA, Dato' Syed Ahmad Hussein...




There were 2 Q&A session and they will be answered by Dato' Saifuddin and Dato' Syed...
With high enthusiasm showed by SRC from other colleges and limited time, they only can answer a few questions from some SRC...
We just take note and listen carefully to the answers given...

Some Q&A along the session, are:
  1. What is the fate of students for courses that still did not have any accreditation from MQA? The college are offering those courses, but did not have any student since the courses still don't have any approval from MQA.
  2. Please have a parliament place for us, as a IPTA/IPTS students for us to share our point of view and as a platform for us to exchange our experiences or ideas.
  3. Why there're must have a gap between IPTA and IPTS? Why don't we have a space to sit together, discuss together all problems. Just like today, all of us just come from IPTS only.
  4. Let us the University and College students to involve in politic. Cancel the AUKU.
  5. Where are IPTS students right or opportunities to have a job placement? Because they only give a fully chances to IPTA students, not us the IPTS students.
  • Answered Dato' Syed - MQA did not take a long time to give an accreditation to certain courses that offered by the college. Delay only happen when the college failed to follow the minimum conditions stated by the MQA to run the programs. But, usually the courses will be have full approval before the students finish their study.
  • Answered by Dato' Saifuddin - The ministry already plan to have a Senate from the students of IPTA/IPTS. Only we just need some time to come out with the plan how to realize it.
  • Answered by Dato' Saifuddin and Dato' Syed - Actually in Ministry and MQA, we never differentiate between IPTA and IPTS. What makes you different from each other, just the name of the institutions. But today, we only call up you guys because we want to make sure the quality of services provided to your institution are still in higher level because your institutions are running privately.
  • Answered by Dato' Saifuddin - If I were a students, I also wants to involve in politic. But so many side are against it with a reasonable reasons. For example, you guys can join the political party, but when comes to having a demonstration, NO. Better you use the time to study instead of joining the demonstration. I agree to let students involve in politic but I also have 30 reasons why you guys should not involve in it. Most of people that agree to not let you involve in politic are your parents, the one that have fully right on you. Just believe this, AUKU is for your own good. AUKU just want you to focus on your study first, once you already finished your study, then you can choose the way that you want.
  • Answered by Dato' Syed - You know what, we also receive the same sigh from the IPTA students. The said, employers only give place for IPTS students. The problems are not come from the MQA or the ministry. The most important elements to have a job placement of course your fortune, then a good examination results also can influence the corporation to give you a place, but the most important is it depends on the employers itself. They are the one that stated the standards, not MQA or ministry. MQA and ministry only can help you to provide a good place to study so that you can reach a high achievement in your education. If they did not give you the job, it is definately not because of you are from IPTA or IPTS. They just mention or create those excuses because they actually did not want to give you the job.

It was a golden opportunity being there because we can feel the spirit of Tun when he delivered his lecture...
What we can conclude here, Tun had put his fully trust to us the next future leader to realize the mission of Wawasan 2020...

Preparation for Innovation Day

today, we the malaysian, proudly celebrate MERDEKA DAY,
the 53rd year of the independence of Malaysia,
and at the same time,
we the SRC members gathered at the students' union
to get ready for tomorrow big event,

The Innovation Day

this event is for the students to show their talents
in creating and inventing something new
this event is mainly championed by The Heads of Career and Internship,
which is Muhammad Auf and Mohd Firdaus.
many activities had been done today such as,
cleaning the SU,
blowing balloons,
decorating
and even building innovative stuffs out of recycled items.

for the breaking fast ceremony this evening,
we will eat together here in TPMC..

Sports carnival was held here in TPMC on 7th n 8th of august 2010
this event was organized mainly by Persatuan Belia Muslim
and helped by several clubs as the committees

1) Red Panther Rugby Club - logistic and safety committee
2) Badminton Club - logistic and safety committee
3) interact club - publicity committee
4) performing arts club - publicity committee
5) Recreational Club - publicity committee
6) Beta House Football Club - activity committee
7) Motorsports Club - activity committee
8) Taekwando Club - management committee
9) Prostar Club - management committee

there are about 6 games for the students to join
where each club will send their representatives to fight for their club's name
the 6 games are:

Football
Volleyball
Basketball
Netball
Badminton
Treasure Hunt

in the last minute, Futsal and Tug Of War was cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstances

in Saturday night, the committees and almost all of the students
gathered at the Basketball court to have Barbeque together.

MASISWA SPORT'S CARNIVAL

31st of July 2010 at Tunku Abdul Rahman COLLEGE was held a Sport's Carnival of MASISWA...
TPM College had sent a contingent of players to involve in Volleyball, Badminton, Futsal, Netball, Ping Pong, and Basketball...
Although TPMC did not achieve any higher place, but we have our Futsal Team that seat at the 4th Place, same goes to Badminton Mix Double...

Overall, we hope that this carnival give a BIG EXPOSURE to all players and managers...
For all of Full Commitment, High Spirit, and Excellent Teamwork from the athletes and managers, we the SRC'an would like to say Thank You So Much...!!!~

24th July 2010...
Our Futsal team of TPM Colloge (also known as Beta House FC)...
Had fight as best as their can to try to win every match that their involved in...
With full of experiences in Futsal...
Mohd Farhan, Nabil, Naufal, Huzaimi, Zahiruddin, Ali, Saifuddin had shown their effort to win the games...
Special thanks to our senior, Ahmad Qayum and Syazwan Shari'at because they will to come and become our team's motivators...

For the first day match...
We have 3 games...
Which we are winning the first game, draw at the second, and lose 0-1 for the third game...
Our team failed to go for the next stage but we going home with some dignity...
At least, our players had done their best...!!!~

Overall...
Wish thank you so much to all players for this Futsal Tournament at UKM Sukan Sakan D' Konvo...
Any weakness try to cover them with some improvement...

When everyone are busy with tests and assignments...
There are some people that are so busy making a preparation to organize a big sport's carnival at TPM College...

ORIENTATION DAYS...

After go through some meeting with Puan Sri Yanti, we have been told about the Orientation Day..

12 - 14 July 2010 was the days of Orientation for our juniors..
We welcome them to this college by introducing them to all departments that we have in TPM College..

The next day, there were an EPT (English Placement Test) early in the morning..
At 11.00 am, they were asked to fill the PTPTN Loan Form (guide by Mr. Fudzir Aziz)..
After went for a lunch, they have some slideshow presentation by the Student Affairs Department (done by Puan Sri Yanti and Mr Muhizam) also slide from SRC..
Around 3.30 pm, an Ice Breaking which had been involved by all the Summer 2010 Intake (1 & 2) and it was conducted by Puan Sri Yanti with some assistants from us, the SRC Members..

On the third day (last day), we make some activities for the Campus Tour slot at 4.00 pm..
We arrange it like a Treasure Hunt Game to make them able to find and locate each of important building in TPM area..
The areas are I-Shoppe, E3, E4 (Library), Technoflex, E1 & E2, and Resource Center (RC)..
By putting our committee in each location, we asked the students to get the committees signature..
We proudly can say that, they able to done their session although there were a heavy rain during that session..
But, we need to end our session earlier due to one student have some health problem (she did not involved in the activities from the beginning - the Campus Tour slot)..

Overall, we just want to conclude that this Orientation Days run smoothly as in planning..
We hope, our new sisters and brothers can adapt their self in this college life..
Any problems and issues, can refer to us anytime..
We, the SRC will try to help them as best as we can..

CONGRATULATION to SPAIN for winning the game against HOLAND a few minutes ago...!!!~

First of all...
We would like to congrats the Germany team for winning the match against Uruguay last night...
By winning the game with the result was 3-2, Germany sit on the Third Place of the World Cup 2010...

Tonight is the night...!!!~
After strive almost a month, now they are here at the Final...
Spain as an Europe Champion will try to beat Netherlands and walk home as World Cup 2010 Champion...
Same goes to Netherlands, they will fight as best as their can to get the Title...

Welcome To TPM College, Students...!!!~

Since 9 am in the morning until 5 pm, we (the SRC'an and some of TPMC staffs) handled the registration session for new students Summer 2 intake...
Most of them are Fresh SPM and choose TPM College as their next path to step into tertiary school...

We have around 20 new students that register today...
But Marketing Team said, will come some more next few days...
We are so excited to see the TRIPLET...
They are Chinese Girls and they are really precises to each other...
Plus, three of them are so cute and nice to meet them in TPM College...

Later on, we will write up some interesting story about this triplet and our other twin in TPM College...
Last but not least, we hope that these new students will success with flying colours in their study here...

Battle of the Band.

Dudeeee! Whatcha doin? :D

It's been a great weekend for us TPM-ians as BATTLE OF THE BAND successfully held by our own Music Club with collaboration of TPM Corp! Awesome event, awesome talented people, awesome head banging session!

Taking place on 3rd and 4th of July, the event was held in our own Resource Centre and more than 100 people attended it. Good job for less than a month work! The team worked hard inviting people to the event, organizing it to be perfect and nevertheless, getting all the people synchronized!

Sponsored by our own TPM Corps' Sports Club and Welfare together with D'Carbo Club, the event was a blast! Congrats to the winners, you're awesome! We're so gonna have this kind of event again! ;)

Greetings from us, Publicity and Communication Division :)

Yesterday was awesome! Thanks to those organizations that participated in our first ever Entrepreneur Day (E-Day) for this Summer! Applause to Taek Won Do, Interact Club and not to forget, our own SRC members who worked hard to open our own booth! And guess what? A very well respond indeed! Thanks to those who splurged heavenly and tasted our awesome foods!

Oh! Even our college staffs supported our event! How cool is that?

Having fun with our E-Day, we actually held another event at the same time, BNU Club Registration Day. Congratulation to those clubs that attracted most BNU students to join them. Even some of the China students joined PBM (Persatuan Belia Muslim/Muslim Youth Association)!

Hopefully our spirit of unity will never fade! Awesome events ahead, I hope!
